OSUN MONARCH CHARGES YOUTHS ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP

An Osun monarch, Oba Jimoh Olayonu Olatoyan, the Aree of Iree land yesterday charged nigeria youths on entrepreneurship and advocated vocational trainings as a tool for self defence against ravaging menace of unemployment.

Speaking in Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, during a lecture organised by Students Union Government in the institution in commemoration of this year Union Week  themed: "Our Victory Is Certain" the monarch remarked and admonished students of the institution to be productive.

Also at the event, Mr. Seun Ibitoye, a principal empowerment strategist with Global Creative Impact Network tasked the students to generate business ideas and go into business of their choice with what they have and further educated them on visibility studies and goal setting strategies.

His words: "In 2012 the Dangote Group advertised recruitment opportunities for 100 graduates Executive Truck Drivers, and to the chagrin of many, six PhD holders, 65 MBA holders, 649 M.sc holders and over 8460 degree holders were among the 300, 000 people who applied"

Similarly, the union president, Comrade Abiodun Osin, advised the students to participate fully in the union week scheduled for 7th of October to 13th of October 2013 saying the union will always remain vigilant and proactive in encouraging students of the institution.
