Osun state chapter of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) has described the
death of the pioneer National Chairman of the party, Chief Solomon Lar as a
great loss to the party and the nation at large.
The party in a condolence message issued by its chairman and Publicity
Secretary, Alhaji Ganiyu Olaoluwa and Prince Bola Ajao respectively said Lar died at a time when his political acumen was needed in the party and the nation.
The party commiserated with President Goodluck Jonathan, National Chairman
of the party, Alhaji Bamangar Tukur and the National Executive Committee
(NEC) of the party on the demise of Chief Lar.
The PDP in Osun state also commiserated with Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau
state and the people of the state where Late Chief Lar was the first
executive Governor.
According to the party, the late Chief Lar would be remembered for his
insistence on the emancipation of the masses and his love for the people.
Osun PDP noted that the PDP and the entire country have lost a patriot of
uncommon courage and a bridge builder.
