Uduaghan fires SSA on Community Relations

Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan

In a move that is most likely to elicit diatribes from different quarters most especially from members of the opposition party in the state, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has sacked his Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations, Mr. Clement Osieta.

A statement by Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Macaulay, said: “In view of the recent activities of Mr. Osieta, which have greatly embarrassed government, the governor has relieved him of his appointment as the Senior Special Assistant, Community Relations, with immediate effect.”

The state did not disclose particulars of the activities, but it requested Osieta to “handover all government property in his possession to the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Secretary to the State Government within 24 hours.”
