IJAIYA LUKMAN RETIRE FROM FOOTBALL.

Kwara United midfielder LUKMAN IJAIYA has hanged up his boot after a 15 years successful career. The former Julius Berger, Kwara Stars and 3SC player has call it quit and he disclosed this in a telephone conversation with Papson sports correspondent while returning from their last game of the #GloNPFL against Akwa United in Lokoja.

I'm very grateful to the almighty Allah for sparing my life up to this time even with all the ups and downs I've faced in this footballing career. I just have to end it here and concentrate on other things in life. I've to move on from the other aspect of life though I'm about rounding up my HND program in Kwara State polytechnic and I'm almost 35 years of age; he lamented.

Ijaiya who spent 4 season with the Afonja Warriors has featured and won many caps in which he's also represented them in CAF cup. He's a utility player that can play anywhere on the pitch. He's always an inspirational to Kwara United success every season as his noticeable contribution has helped Kwara United to secured an away victories this season but unfortunately the Afonja Warriors relegated.

He prayed and wish the Afonja Warriors a quick return to the NPFL and urged the Kwara fans to continue to cheer and stay solidly behind their darling team as He (Lukman) is bidding farewell to the game of soccer. He will definitely be missed by the Kwara fans and we wish him all the best in his future endeavour.
